Southwestern Mississippi is family country. Couples raise their children, go to church and softball games in their trucks, and try to live the kind of wholesome, ideal American existence that many can only dream of. Fame and fortune aren't big priorities - and that's part of the reason Jamie Lynn Spears has decided to raise her family here.

'Around here, everyone has the same focus,' Jamie Lynn tells OK!. 'The focus is family, and that's a good way to live.'

Indeed, it's been a busy year for Britney's 17-year-old sister. The former TV star has purchased her first house, moved in with fiancé Casey Aldridge and brought her daughter, Maddie Briann Aldridge, back to that home. The happily engaged couple have not set a date for their wedding. Instead, they are focusing on being new parents.

On June 19, daughter Maddie came into the world at Southwestern Mississippi Regional Medical Center. All of the young couple's immediate family members, including Jamie Lynn's big sister, Britney, who flew in from Los Angeles, were there to celebrate Maddie's arrival.
